Class of 1971 Celebrates 40 Years of Memories

Former Smithtown Central High School students hit the Three Village Inn and Smithtown East High School to celebrate their 40th reunion.

The class of 1971 reminisced on four decades of memories Saturday at the Three Village Inn as they celebrated their 40th reunion.

Former students of Smithtown Central High School, now known as Smithtown High School East, met for an open house at East in the afternoon where members of the East select chorus performed. The former students were also informed about changes in the high school by Principal Ed Thompson, and the leadership students provided a tour of the building.

He East campus courtyard also has a new addition thanks to the class of 1971 as they donated a weeping cherry tree to the school.
