Early Dismissal Tuesday for Smithtown Students
District calls for 2-hour early dismissal given predicted snowfall.
Smithtown students will be arriving home early on Tuesday.
Smithtown Central School District will have a two-hour early dismissal for all students on Tuesday, according to the district clerk's office.
Forecasters with the National Weather Service are predicting 10 to 14 inches of snow to wallop the Long Island area on Tuesday, with between eight and 10 inches forecast for New York City.
In addition to early dismissal, all after-school activities and planning evening events are cancelled.
