East Swimmers Earn Spots in State Swimming Championships
Matt DeVito and Ben Cono set to compete in March.
Swimmers from Smithtown High School East will be heading to Buffalo, NY in March to participate in the New York State Swimming and Diving Championships.
Matt DeVito and Ben Cono, who qualified at the Suffolk County Championship Meet, will represent the school at the championships, taking place March 1-3. For DeVito it was his performance in the 200 Individual Medley and for Cono it was the 100 Breastroke that earned them the trip to Buffalo.
Both DeVito and Cono placed fourth in Suffolk County with their performances while setting new records for East.
