Event Spotlight: Smithtown Children’s Foundation Holiday Breakfast

The fifth annual breakfast is set for Saturday from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Looking for a unique way to help a local charitable organization? How about enojying some good food while you do it?

The Smithtown Children’s Foundation is set to host its 5th Annual Holiday Breakfast on Saturday from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Great Hollow Middle School. While the event is free a $15 donation is encouraged. Locals could also bring non-perishable food items as donations to the breakfast as well as new hats, gloves and scarves, new unwrapped toys, and gift cards.

The breakfast is sponsored by Maureen’s Kitchen, Jeco’s Deli and BLVD Bagels.

The foundation will also honor the memory one of the sponsors of the breakfast, John Economos, former owner of Jeco's Deli. They will do so by starting a scholarship for two seniors from Smithtown High School East and West that will be attending college for four years in the business curriculum.
