Local Off to Super Bowl XLVII Through James Madison University Studies

A James Madison University student and local will perform interactive volunteer work at the game.

Wish you could go to the Super Bowl XLVII? One local will soon be on her way to the Mercedes-Benz Superdome in New Orleans, La. to participate in the festivities. 

James Madison University sophomore and Smithtown resident Brittney Jacks – along with join 10 other students from the university's School of Hospitality, Sport and Recreation Management – will be volunteers for events leading up to the game. These events include working the autograph stage, youth clinics, welcoming tourists into the city assisting with a flag football game among NFL greats and Hollywood's brightest stars, helping with official tailgate party of the NFL and more.

The trip is designed to provide the JMU students with a practical volunteer experience within the hospitality and sport and recreation management industries.
