Nesaquake Students Make Pen Pal Friends in Germany

Students studying German at Nesaquake Middle School apply second-language skills to communicate with students at three German schools.

Students studying German at Nesaquake Middle School are taking their studies and applying them to communicate directly with German students as pen pals.

The seventh and eighth grade students have been and are continuing to engage German students in a pen pal partnership with the Albertus-Magnus-Gymnasium in Ettlingen, and two other secondary schools in Bremen and Freiburg in Breisgau.

Topics the Nesaquake students share with the German students include interests and hobbies, and about the common video games they both play.
