PHOTO: Nesaquake Students Make Cranes in Wake of Sandy Hook Tragedy

The cranes represent eternal good luck, and will be given to Newton, CT community members.

Nesaquake Middle School showed their support for the Newton, CT community in the wake of the Sandy Hook Elementry tragedy by creating 1,000 origami cranes as gifts. The students created the cranes due to ancient Japanese legend that states that cranes represent eternal good luck, and is granted one wish for a long life or recovery from an illness or injury.
