Four honor society students at sold more than 300 pink bandanas with all proceeds going to Operation Smile via their organization Project Inner Beauty.
Project Inner Beauty was formed by Dana Cornacchio, Ally McFadyen, Jacquelyn Cuccurullo and Courtney File and the bandanas were sold for $2 each. Operation Smile is an organization dedicated to healing children's cleft lip, cleft palate and other facial deformities, according to their website.
The girls chose pink because it is the color for cleft lip awareness is hot pink, and students not involved in the school showed support for the cause by wearing pink, while other girls signed a pledge not to wear make-up for a week.
