Photo of the Day: St. James Students Get Visit From U.S. Marines

After sending boxes of necessities to soldiers, the St. James Elementary Leadership Club got to meet some of the people defending the country overseas.

After collecting items for soldiers overseas, the received a visit from three U.S. Marines, who shared stories of their military experience with the students.

Lance corporal Chris Koke, Lance corporal Edward Ostarch and Private Nicholas Malfettone hit the elementary school and spoke with the students about their experiences preparing to go to Afghanistan. The club packed and sent overseas more than 12 boxes with supplies for the soldiers filled with food, letters, magazines, socks and other necessities.
