Photo of the Day: Students Donate Supplies to Appalachian Children in Need

Mt. Pleasant Elementary students bring in things from toothbrushes to toys for underprivileged children in Appalachia.

Inspired by in-class readings, fourth grade students at brought in daily necessity items such as toothbrushes and soap to donate to children in need in the Appalachian region.

Students in Mr. Jackowski’s class decided to send these items to underprivileged children in Appalachia after reading a book where a special train delivered silver-packaged presents to children in the region. The students brought in items, which also included toys and school supplies, and created more than 40 packages for the Appalachian children.
