PHOTOS: Physics Team Takes Second in Physics Olympics
Team consisting of East and West students took on 15 other teams.
The high school Physics Team, consisting of members from both Smithtown High School East and Smithtown High School West, placed second overall in the Long Island Physics Olympics. The team faced off against 15 teams from across Long Island.
East took second in the Pendulum of Doom event and sixth overall; West took third in both the Fermi Questions event and the jeopardy-style Physics Bowl event, and seventh overall.
