Terry, you are correct. Thank you. I have updated the story and will post an update on Facebook and Twitter. My apologies for the confusion.

Terry: With all of the wonderful things your organization does for our community, I can't help but feel that some type of error has to have occurred. Why were real candles and paper bags given to WI"s elementary school children with instructions for them to place the candle inside of the paper bag and then light the candle? Wendy Regan

I have seen Bay Shore do this for years. It's beautiful. The warmth this brings to the community is real, brings a sense of oneness. I love it. Parents will supervise the lighting of these tea lights. There is nothing wrong with this. Has anyone ever walked through Brightwaters down Windsor? I have. As I walk my dog, at night, I have always admired this practice. Keep it. It's absolutely uplifting! Not dangerous. Nothing to worry about. If you don't want to participate, simple answer. Don't. Wendy, you are usually right on the money, but in this case, sorry..I can agree girlfriend. :-)
