Reader Gallery: 1980s Prom Throwback
Patch reader Debbi Spiegel submitted photos Thursday from her prom in 1988 with a shot of her Molly Ringwald in "Pretty In Pink" inspired dress.
As school recently ended for seniors, the memory of prom is still quite fresh – much the same as it is for avid Smithtown Patch reader Debbi Spiegel, who submitted photos Thursday of her prom at Hillcrest High School in 1988.
Spiegel, who was on the prom committee, said she was excited to find a dress at Bloomingdales reminiscent of the one worn by her idol, Molly Ringwald, who starred as Andie Walsh in Pretty In Pink.
