Smithtown School Blizzard Cancellations to be Decided Friday
The Smithtown Central School District will wait for snowfall to make any necessary cancellations to classes, extracurricular activities.
With a blizzard scheduled to hit Smithtown on Friday afternoon through Saturday afternoon, the Smithtown Central School District is waiting on the start of snowfall to decide if any cancellations are needed, the district said Thuesday.

According to the district, if needed, the cancellations could include classes and weekend sports games.

Here are the sports taking place over the weekend:
- Smithtown East Winter Boys, Girls Track at Suffolk Community College, Brentwood – Saturday, 11 a.m.
- Smithtown East Wrestling Tournament at Hofstra University – Saturday and Sunday, noon
- Smithtown West Winter Boys, Girls Track at Suffolk Community College, Brentwood – Saturday, 11 a.m.
- Smithtown West Wrestling Tournament at Hofstra University – Saturday and Sunday, noon
