Smithtown School's Budget Adoption Set for Tuesday

The Board of Education will vote during their regular meeting scheduled for 8 p.m.

After roughly four months of planning, analyzing and projections, the Board of Education will vote Tuesday whether or not to adopt the proposed 2013-14 budget for the Smithtown Central School District.

The vote will take place during the regular meeting set for 8 p.m. in the Joseph M. Barton building on New York Avenue.

Back in January, the district said they will propose a $222.7 million budget, and Superintendent Anthony Annunziato confirmed after last Tuesday's budget hearing that the proposed budget reflects a 3.6 percent property tax increase.
