The Smithtown Central School District announced that classes are still on for Tuesday via the district website.
The district also stated via its website that if any changes would be made that an automated call would be sent out early Tuesday morning.
Smithtown was covered with more than two feet of snow fall Friday night into Saturday, coating the area with 25 inches in Smithtown and 28 in St. James, according to the National Weather Service.
The district canceled classes on Monday.
Nearby schools and districts such as the Cleary School for the Deaf in Nesconset, the Three Village School District, the Port Jefferson School District and the Comsewogue School District have all cancelled classes for Tuesday.
