Viewfinder: East High School Class of 2011 Celebrates Soggy Graduation

Although the weather wasn't ideal, the ceremony went on as planned as Smithtown East celebrated the class of 2011 Thursday evening.

Early rain and overcast skies could not spoil a special day at East as the class of 2011 celebrated its graduation.

Principal Edwin Thompson presented the class to the enthusiastic crowd filled with family and friends. Senior class president Taylor Walsh and honorary speaker Sanjay Palat both gave stirring speeches before diplomas were handed out to the class of over 400.
