Yoga By Donation

Class Description:

Mindful and Compassionate Yoga classes focused on alignment,  the healing and regenerative benefits of yoga, as well as building strength,  flexibility, and mental wellbeing. Postures will be taught and broken down to suit all levels of students. Classes will include a gentle, yet powerful series of balancing, stretching, back bending, twisting,  inverted postures,  vinyasa, breath work, and meditation.  Classes take place at the beautiful Bates House and Sanctuary centered in the serene arboretum of the Frank Melville Memorial Park. I encourage  all students to come to the practice without any sense of competition or judgment.

What is Mindful and Compassionate Yoga by Donation? Mindful and Compassionate Yoga provides the opportunity for all students of all levels both financially and physically  to experience the healing benefits of yoga. Yoga by donation allows  each student to decide what to give in exchange for class. It is also a practice in itself of re-evaluating our relationship to the economic system. It is  the  student's discretion to assign value to the programs and take it on themselves to decide what is "their money's worth". There is a huge range of what students donate per class, anywhere from $5 to $20, sometimes more, sometimes less. "Yoga by Donation" does not mean free-- without your support, classes like this cannot be provided.
