What are the responsibilities of an Ice Girl, both on and off the ice?

We do all the on-ice stuff, the shoveling around keeping everything safe, throw t-shorts to get the crowd involved in the game … we do a lot of outside things, [we’re] ambassadors for the team.

What does being an Ice Girl mean to you?

You’re a role model, you’re just representing awesome, being part of the only Long Island NHL professional team … it’s an awesome job.

What kind of joys do you get from being on the ice? What kind of experience is this?

I love skating, I’ve been skating since I was seven in competitions and everything, and being on the ice is like my second home.

Have the other girls been like a mentor to you at all? What is the relationship like with the team?

They’re like the older sisters I don’t have. I have one brother, they’re all my sisters. We’re all really close, I just met them at tryouts … I get to hang out with them, make new friends.
