West Wrestlers Win Three Meets in a Week

Busy schedule yields victories over Centereach, Newfield and Hills East and a 3-1 record in League III

The Smithtown West wrestling team had a busy week with an unusual three League III dual meets, and the Bulls took advantage by winning all three, improving to 3-1 in league play.

West traveled to Half Hollow Hills East on Friday for its third meet in four days and showed no signs of fatigue, winning handily, 59-14. The Bulls won the three lightest weights, and while the Colts took weights 119 through 135, West romped in the heaviest weights, sweeping the bouts from 140 through 285. Three of the victories were by forfeit.

Chris Ardizzone won by technical fall at 103 pounds and Joe Giamis won a 4-2 decision at 112 over Josh Sycoff.
