Friendly’s Restaurants across Long Island will be giving away free 12 oz. Fribbles to anyone who stops by any of their 33 Long Island eateries on Saturday, including their Smithtown location. Smithtown will be serving them from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.
The restaurant chain, which claimed bankruptcy in October 2001, says giving away their popular Fribbles, which comes in strawberry, vanilla and chocolate, is just one way to give back to customers.
"This is our way of saying thanks to our customers and to let them know that we appreciate their business,” said Joe Vitrano, president of J&B restaurant partners.
The following is a list of Friendly’s locations: Baldwin, Bay Shore, Bellmore, Commack, Copiague, Coram, East Islip, East Meadow, East Northport, Farmingdale, Franklin Square, Hampton Bays, Hicksville, Lake Ronkonkoma, Levittown, Massapequa, Massapequa Park, Medford, Middle Island, Miller Place, Mineola, North Babylon, North Wantagh, Patchogue, Riverhead, Sayville, Selden, Shirley, Smithtown, Stony Brook, Syosset, Wantagh, West Babylon, Westbury
