Boy Scout Creates Waterfall Garden for Smithtown Children

Eagle Scout candidate Dennis Collins builds a waterfall garden for Angela's House.

An Eagle Scout candidate has dedicated his time to helping improve the outdoor space used by medically frail children in Smithtown.  

Boy Scout  Dennis Collins of Troop 343 in Hauppauge recently completed the construction of a pondless waterfall in an outdoor garden setting with a backless, four-foot long bench for Angela's House. 

“What an amazing project, the children of Angela’s House  love the sound of the running water, it is very peaceful to them," said Bob Policastro, executive director and founder of Angela's House, in a statement. 

Angela's House in a nonprofit organization, based in Smithtown, that provides assistive services and residential facilities for medically frail children and their families. They current have three residential facilities on Long Island in Smithtown, Stony Brook and East Meadow.
