Nesconset GoFundMe Aims To Save Closing Theatre

Nesconset teen makes video for the campaign.

Take One Theatre at 1021 Portion Rd. in Farmingville is currently closing on Dec. 31, unless the community can raise enough support to save the theatre through a Nesconset GoFundMe campaign.

The campaign has been created by Jessica Rosenblatt Cianciotto, who said that she has been with the theatre since 1988.

"I run the theatre with my Dad. We open our hearts to all of these kids, who are now 'my kids.,' Cianciotto said. "As soon as you come to Take One, you are family. I'm not ready for this to [be] over."

A Youtube video, created by 15-year-old Allie Brault of Nesconset, has also been created for the campaign, showing kids and teens who perform at the theatre.

As of this writing the GoFundMe has raised $1,955 out of a $10,000 goal.
