Republican Primaries, School and Town Board Meetings this Week

Good morning, Smithtown. Here's a look at what's happening this week, from Sept. 9 - 13. 

First Day of School

Republican Primary Day

Registered Republican votes will head to the polls on Tuesday to choose which candidate will run on the Republican line in this November's elections. Primaries are being held for seats of: Smithtown Town Supervisor, Smithtown Town Board and the 13th district of the Suffolk County Legislature. 

Town Board Meeting

Smithtown Town Board will hold the first of its two town board meetings in September on Tuesday at 2 p.m. The full agenda will be available on the town's website after 5 p.m. Monday. 

Smithtown Board of Education 

The Smithtown Board of Education will host its first meeting of the 2013-14 school year at 8 p.m. Tuesday. It will be held at the administrative building on New York Avenue. 

Board of Zoning Appeals

Town of Smithtown's Board of Zoning Appeals will host its first meeting of September on Tuesday at 7 p.m. at the Eugene Canataro Senior Citizen Center.
