It seems that which is lacking in the world today is an understanding of "martyrdom" thus an understanding of suffering. There is a difference between selfish suffering and self giving suffering. One will bring you the gates of hell and one will bring you the gates of heaven.
The terrorist attack of 9/11 and the terrorist attack on joyful-grace-filled People at the marathon in Boston will shed light on the difference between the two. As we reflect in man's mind and go back to the days of 9/11 and see the terrorist via airplanes attacking the World Trade Center and also as we see the firefighters entering the building; two opposing thoughts enter the mind and soul of man. Two types of human beings are entering the world stage of human history and the present consciousness of man. One seeks to achieve the blessings of God and peace for mankind by sacrificing himself, by taking the lives of other human Beings; and for these "terrorist" they can be either combatants-noncombatants - children -women, it doesn't matter to them.
And the other human being seeks to alleviate the suffering of others and if possible avoid suffering to others and if possible to save these very lives while keeping the thought of going home alive to their family. They seek to live another day. They seek to continue giving the gift of life to their family, friends and the community they serve; their goal is to use their talents and blessings that they received from God not only to save those human lives, but to live another day and save humanity itself while they enjoy the comfort of their family and friends. By their example they teach others to comfort others, to save other, to love others. They bring peace to mankind by such an Living Example of a self-giving love in a living sacrifice: And Note: The lives given by their brothers for there Mission of Life, will give them the strength to continue their mission of love for humanity, family and community; these men understand that their God Of Life seeks to bless all mankind and that God’s Will is for all mankind to enjoy the full blessings of life and to have life more abundantly for them-selves and others. Theses men worship life On Earth as Well as In Heaven.
The "terrorist" seek to sacrifice themselves and others in there deeds of death and terror to force on God his blessing of life in heaven; The terrorist by their very deeds will bring them-selves and their faith in a god of death and terror to the gates of hell:
These Free Willed Americans by their very deeds of Life and their Faith in a Loving God will bring them-selves and others to abundant Life on Earth and Lead the way for humanity To THE GATES of HEAVEN:
May God open his arms of Comfort, Love and give Strength to all those Living on
Earth who LIVE HIS LOVING WILL as well as Comfort and Love, to those brought to
His gates of heaven, especially The Little Children who are the closest to his very heart.

The drill teams are nice to watch but they are very costly to towns. In this time, the fire service…Read More cant afford to spend 15-20 thousand dollars of tax payers money on items that are not used for fire protection.
Im sure they fundraise but obviously they are costing the department a significant amount of money if they are looking to get rid of them.
These volunteer departments need to spend money on recruitment and retention, training and equipment....not drill teams.
If they are that upset that they are going to be disbanded, they should pay the money themselves to keep the team (but i know they cant afford it because they are godly expensive), and not spend thousands of dollars that can be used for useful things such as fire protection.
Sorry to hear the news but fire protection is way more important than drill teams.

shameshameshame on the commisioners of st james for ending the wildcats....the drill tem is a…Read More valuable tool in recruiting young people into the fire service....if st james is like most communitieson long island there is drop in membership ranks and recruitment is more important than ever..i know for a fact the wildcats work hard at raising revenues through fundraisers to khelp keep costs reasonable...again i say shame on the commisioners

Not sure what the situation was surrounding this man's death. Honestly people need to respect the RR…Read More crossings. I do know the train didn't leap off the tracks and hit the man. Last Sat I sat in front of the bakery at the St James RR tracks at the station and the crossings were not functioning correctly-one was up and one was down and yet people still thought it was a good idea to drive around the crossing rail-just plain dumb.

Oh my God! I'm such a sucker! She and her chubby, middle-aged "father" were sitting in the…Read More vestibule of Uncle Giuseppe's on a cold, rainy day this winter. She was in a wheelchair and he was handing out the flier. Bottom line: I took out 100.00 from the ATM next door and came back to the supermarket to donate to these heartless people. I hope they arrest this disgusting man as well.
