100 Things to Do: #53 - Practice Yoga at the Library

Have a relaxing and restorative experience with Hatha Yoga at the Smithtown Library.

If you are looking for a way to relax and relieve stress, join the Smithtown Special Library District for Hatha Yoga – no experience necessary. The newly renovated Nesconset branch, located at 148 Smithtown Boulevard, offers a four-session yoga series for adults led by certified yoga instructor and personal trainer Nancy Kelly on Mondays beginning Oct. 17 through Nov. 7 from 7:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.

This slow-paced yoga class focuses on posture and simple breathing exercises. This is the perfect program to learn basic poses, relaxation techniques, and become more familiar with yoga.

The session is $24 and library patrons can register up until the day of the first class with a non-refundable cash or check made out to the Smithtown Library, and people without Smithtown Special Library District library cards can register starting Oct. 7 if space in the class is available.
