In April 2013, Nesconset Chamber of Commerce installed street lights along the main stretch of Smithtown Boulevard. The additional lighting was installed in front of community centers including the Nesconset branch of the Smithtown Public LIbrary, the gazebo and the Nesconset shopping plaza.

Many of these new streetlights have been decorated with 18-inch by 36-inch blue banners bearing an American Flag. Each banner bears the name of a local business who sponsored the banner, along with an invitation to join the Nesconset Chamber of Commerce.

Tickets cost $100 per person and can be purchased via the Chamber's website, here.  The proceeds from Friday night's event into purchasing additional street lights.
