Stormy Weather Cancels Streetfighter Concert at Library
Summer concert cancelled, Rolling Stones tribute band not currently rescheduled.
Mother Nature is putting a damper on Thursday night in Smithtown.
Although rain ended early Thursday afternoon, the Smithtown Special Library District has cancelled the Rolling Stones tribute band, Streetfighter, scheduled to perform Thursday at 8 p.m.
It is the second performance of the ninth annual Outdoor Family Summer Concert Series to be affected by weather.
The Jimmy Buffet tribute band, Jimmy Kenny and the Beach Pirate Band, originally scheduled to perform on Aug. 8 has been rescheduled for the rain date of Aug. 29 at 8 p.m.
The library invites residents to join them next Thursday for the last performance of the summer.
