With the weekend right around the corner, locals can take advantage of all the exciting events in and around Smithtown, from a family treasure hunt to a day of activities for you and your dog.

Families will follow a treasure map during this pirate hunt.

  • When: Saturday, July 30 at 10:00 a.m.
  • Where: Caleb Smith State Park, 581 W Jericho Tpke, Smithtown

  • Price: $4/adults, $3/children, $8/parking, children under 3 are free.



Children ages 3-5 will enjoy an aquatic themed storytime and craft.

The 16th annual Stony Brook Film Festival will feature independent films from around the world.

  • When: Saturday, July 30 at 8:00 p.m. 
  • Where: Nicolls Road, Stony Brook

  • Price: A pass can be purchased for $75 or tickets for single shows are $7 and $9.                         



A fitness class for women ages 20 and up.

The Suffolk County Kennel Club presents a day of canine activities for the whole family and their dogs.

Support local farmers and pick up fresh fruit, vegetables and much more.

Enjoy a diverse display of artwork from 30 different artists.

"Why are Smithtown teachers continuing to pay for school supplies out of their ownRead More pocket?" Since when? Ever see the big list of supplies kids get in their folders at the end of the year for them to bring in next year? I think you're talking about the wrong school district.
