Patch readers have hit the comment section to express concerns and state where power is still missing in the town.

“Still no power at the dead end of Sunny Road in St James, told we were a "low priority" since only 7 houses were affected... maybe by Sunday or Monday?,” said Cathy Caracciolo.

Peter, another Patch reader, is a little more skeptical of LIPA’s work.

“No Power - Smithtown off Hurtin Blvd by RR tracks. Heard we wont get it back until next week sometime. National Grid is getting off scott free. They are the contractor to LIPA and they laid off alot of people over the last few years who knew how to do restoration. Mainly to keep the stock price up,” he said.
