An ex-winner of the Seawolves football team's Work Horse Award has worked his way onto the New York Giants practice squad after a few stops along the way.

Paul Fenaroli, who started every game at center for the Wolves for three straight seasons, will be the first Stony Brook Seawolf signed by the New York Giants, according to Newsday.

Incident Report: Stabbing on Main Street Sends 1 to Hospital

Two people got into a fight in Port Jefferson on Dec. 1 at about 12:30 a.m. when one was cut with a folding knife by the other, according to a police report. The injured person was taken toSt. Charles Hospital. The incident happened on Main Street near Port Jeff Army Navy. No arrests were made.

Commack Couple Returns to Roots By Opening Amato's Pizza

A Commack couple is returning to their family' roots by opening up their own pizzeria in Hauppauge. 

Longtime Commack residents Erica and Frank Amato are serving up slices at Amato's Pizza in the Hauppauge Shopping Center off Route 347. The pair is glad to finally be back behind the pizza counter.

Local Plans Sandy Relief Concert

Planning a benefit concert for 1200 people is not something Christina Spano ever thought she would do, but this Kings Parker decided to forgo fear and forge ahead in her pursuit of helping those affected by Supestorm Sandy.

Spano has planned “One Voice Becomes Many”, a benefit concert being held later this month at the Emporium in Patchogue. Headline acts include Tommy Byrnes of Billy Joel and  Randy Jackson of Zebra fame. Jackie the Jokeman Martling, formerly of the Howard Stern Show, will host.

Afternoon Nesconset Accident Briefly Halts Traffic

A car accident brought traffic to a standstill Friday afternoon in Nesconset.

According to Suffolk County Police, officers responded to a call of an accident at 11:46 a.m. at the intersection of Route 347 and Lake Avenue in Nesconset involving two cars. The make and model of the cars has not been released.
