Week in Review: Gas Prices Jump at Local Station

The Mobil station located at 819 West Jericho Turnpike in Smithtown opted to charge a $2 difference in cash versus credit card prices per gallon, and in 24 hours the price has jumped 40 cents.

Smithtown's  adopted the proposed budget for the 2012-13 school year Tuesday night, which calls for a $215.3 million in spending and a 2.23 percent tax levy increase over the previous year's budget.
