Week in Review: Southwestern Eatery Makes Debut

A new eatery will make its Smithtown debut Thursday.

Moe’s Southwest Grill, which took over the former home to , located at 77 Route 111 near and , will open its doors to the public at 11 a.m. 

Croxley's Ale House & Biergarten could soon be open on West Main Street.

Patch reported back in May that the former home to  in Smithtown would soon be replaced by Croxley's, and according to a Newsday report the ale house could be open within the month.

The massage center on Route 111 in Smithtown, which was opened by , is now under the control of locals Jessica and Jim Nuzzo.

Smithtown’s golf prodigy Jim Liu fell to Andy Hyeon Bo Shim in the U.S. Junior Amateur Championship at The Golf Club of New England on Saturday.

According to a Newsday report, Liu fell to Shim 4-and-3 in Stratham, N.H. Shim, 17, was the 43rd-seeded player; Liu, a Knox School attendee, was the top seeded player.

While Main Street in Smithtown is littered with vacant storefronts, there are several thriving businesses keeping people in the area. One such business is Sertinos Cafe.

Owned by Craig Lowenthal, the eatery opened roughly one year ago. In this time Lowenthal has made Sertinos Cafe a standout business, with live music, a go-to place for business meetings and more.
