OPERATION: MILITARY KIDS

HELP US FILL OUR BACK PACKS!

Marie Marsh, long time resident of St. James and author of her new children’s book, COURAGE, is running an OPERATION: MILITARY KIDS campaign for the month of July in support of the youngest of our heros. They are the children of actively deployed members of our Armed Forces who are left behind when a parent or a sibling must leave for active duty.  We will pack the packs with comfort items or that help kids communicate with their loved one, make memories of their time apart and are just plain fun.

Marie Marsh’s book is about a small puppy named COURAGE, who finds the family that he is destined to be part of.

The story follows his birth, leaving his litter in the Midwest and eventually arriving at a pet store in a small, little coastal town. Courage captures the heart of a young soldier as his family is preparing for his departure.

Courage is an uplifting story about family.

“COURAGE” can be purchased at the St. James General Store and also at Elements of Home, both in St. James. It is also available at online book stores. For more information, please contact Marie Marsh at mcmCourage@yahoo.com.
