And how many of those buyers are looking to spend $425,000? In this area, finding a house that matches such a list selling for twice that price is a rarity. Sounds like "House Hunters": all dreams, no money.

I think what they are REALLY looking is a secure job that earns enough to make the mortgage/tax payment for the next 25 or 30 years! Good luck!

This is ridiculous - a home with all these features on Long Island is unaffordable for most families. After over a year of looking at overpriced newer homes and overpriced older homes that need major renovation, I am leaving for the cheaper cost of living down south.....
