Elaine Hammer, Smithtown resident and parishioner of St. Thomas of Canterbury Episcopal Church, has died. She was 81 years old.
According to a Newsday obituary, Hammer died on Nov. 11. Hammer was not only a parishioner of St. Thomas of Canterbury Episcopal Church, she also belonged to the church food pantry.
Hammer was survived by her niece Maureen Watson and their children Robert and Donna Racicot. Religious services are set for Thursday at 8 p.m. and donations could be sent in lieu of flowers to the Little Animal Shelter of Huntington.
