hotoke restaurant/smithtown

We made reservations at Hotoke 3 weeks in advance for my son's graduation. We were told it was a 10 min. wait which really was 1 hour and 40 minutes. A disasterous night to say the least. People that had the same number of people in their party were seated before us and had later dinner reservations. All of the customers were up in arms and the manager did nothing but kept telling everyone that he came in on his day off. One father was so frustrated that he threw a chair across the restaurant. Total maheim. It ruined our celebration and I will NEVER go there again. I stopped in numerous times to speak to the owner and left my number. I haven't heard from anyone. It's an event in my son's life that I will never get back. Total disregard for their customers. I would not recommend this restaurant to anyone.
