The Chop Shop, one of Smithtown's newer restaurants, offers something that other establishments on Main Street lack: trendiness. Guests enter Chop Shop and feel like they have stepped into a modern, high-style restaurant in New York City or in Huntington Village.
This moderately priced restaurant has a great bar area with a full martini list and bar menu. The atmosphere is perfect for mingling and good sophisticated conversation.
On a Friday night the average age of those at the bar tends to be 30 or older, but those dining in the restaurant were largely in their early to mid-20's and included big groups of friends and couples.
The Chop Shop is definitely a great spot to check out for its style, delicious food and unique drinks. After all, if there's no significant other in your life, a Chop Shop martini can be a good stand in.
