Afternoon Nesconset Accident Briefly Halts Traffic

Debris has since been cleared and traffic is back to normal.

A car accident brought traffic to a standstill Friday afternoon in Nesconset.

According to Suffolk County Police, officers responded to a call of an accident at 11:46 a.m. at the intersection of Route 347 and Lake Avenue in Nesconset involving two cars. The make and model of the cars has not been released.

There were no injuries in the accident, police said, but traffic was halted at the intersection. The road has been cleared and traffic is back to normal.

"Why are Smithtown teachers continuing to pay for school supplies out of their ownRead More pocket?" Since when? Ever see the big list of supplies kids get in their folders at the end of the year for them to bring in next year? I think you're talking about the wrong school district.
