Crime Report: DWI; Driving While Impared by Drugs
The following arrest information was supplied by the Suffolk County Police Department. It does not indicate a conviction.
The Suffolk County Police Department Fourth Precinct reported these arrests and incidents in Smithtown during Oct. 27 - Nov. 1.
Jacqueline Franco, 28, of Middle Island was arrested Nov. 1 in Nesconset and charged with second degree criminal trespass. Reports state she was arrested on Gibbs Pond Road.
William Huergo, 32, of East Northport was arrested Oct. 28 and charged with leaving the scene of a property damage accident. Reports state Huergo was arrested on Veteran's Highway in Smithtown at 11:23 a.m.

Johanna Ortiz, 27, of Bay Shore was arrested Oct. 27 in Nesconset and charged with first degree operating a motor vehicle while ability impaired by drugs, as well as seventh degree possession of a conrolled substance. Reports state she was arrested at 12:17 p.m. while driving a 1997 Cadillac.
Andre Machate, 41, of St. James was arrested Oct. 27 in Smithtown and charged with third degree grand larceny. Reports indicate Machate allegedly stole a generator and power tools. He was also charged with third degree criminal mischief for allegedly breaking a fire suppression device inside a jail cell.

Joyce Klindt, 62, of St. James was arrested Oct. 27 in St. James and charged with DWI. Reports indicate Klindt was arrested on Lake Avenue in a 2008 Saturn at 3:15 p.m.
