Crime Report: Leaving Scene of Accident, DWI Arrest

The following arrest information was supplied by the Suffolk County Police Department. It does not indicate a conviction.

Suffolk County Police Department Fourth Precinct reported these arrests and incidents in Smithtown during June 22-28.

Andrew Geyer, 48, of Kings Park was arrested June 27 in Smithtown and charged with leaving the scene of an accident. Reports state Geyer was operating a 2010 Jeep Grand Cherokee and crashed into a 2010 Nissan Sentra. Reports indicate he allegedly fled the scene without exchanging information on Old Dock Rd., Kings Park.     

Kim Guilfoyle, 47, of Smithtown was arrested June 27 in Smithtown and charged with second degree aggravated harassment. Reports state Guilfoyle allegedly sent harassing phone calls to a male.

Christopher Benson, 36, of Ronkonkoma was arrested June 26 and charged with unlawful dealing with fireworks. Reports state Benson was arrested for the alleged possession of marijuana, and fireworks on Pleasure Ave. at approximately 9:50 p.m. 

Lennart Wessberg, 62, of Stony Brook was arrested June 26 in Smithtown and charged with first offense DWI. Reports state Wessberg was arrested for allegedly operating a 2003 Ford Station Wagon while intoxicated. Reports indicate the incident occurred on Old Willets Path and Route 25 at approximately 10:14 p.m.

Corey Fried, 42, of Smithtown was arrested June 25 in Smithtown and charged with first offense DWI. Reports state Fried was allegedly operating a 2006 Dodge while intoxicated. Reports state the incident occurred westbound on Main St. at Maple Ave. in Smithtown at approximately 7:05 p.m.     

Kayla Curtis, 24, of Canastota was arrested June 24 in Smithtown and charged with two counts of second degree aggravated harassment. Reports state Curtis allegedly sent harassing phone calls to a male.    

Adam Schwartz, 21, of Medford was arrested June 24 in Smithtown and charged with second degree burglary. Reports state Schwartz allegedly took a safe containing jewelry and savings bonds from a location on Pleasant St., Ronkonkoma.   

Hotson Neree, 26, of Brentwood was arrested June 23 in Smithtown and charged with first degree robbery. Reports state Neree allegedly registered a motor vehicle in someone else’s name using their ID and allegedly stole jewelry at gunpoint.   

Morley Wang, 30, of Bayside was arrested June 22 in Smithtown and charged with leaving the scene of an accident. Reports state Wang was allegedly operating a 2006 Honda Civic and crashed into a 2007 Toyota Camry on Route 347, Hauppauge. Reports state the incident occurred at Route 111 and Route 347, Hauppauge at approximately 8:48 p.m.
