Crime Report: Order of Protection Violation and Marijuana Charges

Dorothy DeMarco, 50, of Bellport was arrested Nov. 23 in Smithtown and charged with criminal possession of marijuana.  Reports state DeMarco was sitting in a 1997 Jeep at the Smithaven Mall smoking marijuana.       

Robert Watson, 17, of Smithtown was arrested Nov. 22 in Smithtown and charged with unlawful possession of marijuana.  Reports state Watson was smoking marijuana at a Suffolk County park. 

Anthony Paruolo, 25, of Kings Park was arrested Nov. 19 in Smithtown and charged with criminal contempt.  Reports state Paruolo was arrested on Route 25A in Smithtown after violating an order of protection. 

None of the defendants have been convicted of a crime, but were arrested for the charges listed above. They are innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.  If any of the above charges have been acquitted, in order for removal from publication, one must write the writer and provide proof of dismissal.
