Police are investigating the attempted robbery of a Smithtown gas station Monday afternoon.
A 911 call came in at 1:20 p.m. reporting that a man with a gun demanded money from an employee at Performance Fuels, located at 377 Veterans Highway, police said. The man fled the scene with no proceeds, police said.
No arrests have been made.
