Police: Car Plows Into Smithtown Doctor's Office, 4 Hurt
A 9-year-old boy is among those hurt in Tuesday afternoon crash.
Four people, including a 9-year-old boy, were injured when a car plowed into a pediatrician's office in Smithtown Tuesday afternoon, police said.
The crash happened shortly before 4:30 p.m. at a commercial complex at 300 Middle Country Road.
The woman driving the car Lyudmila Lerner, 75, of Kings Park, the 9-year-old boy and his mother inside the doctor's office and a employee at the office all suffered minor injuries and were taken to Stony Brook University Hospital, police said.

The building did not collapse but electricity was shut and the building was evacuated, police said. The investigation is continuing.
