Police Investigating a Pair of Nesconset Home, Property Thefts

Items from jewelry to lawn maintenance equipment were reported missing.

Suffolk County Police are currently investigating a pair of Nesconset thefts reported in March.

According to police, assorted jewelry was taken from a safe from a home located on Dover Hill Drive. According to police, the home owner said the incident could have taken place Dec. 1, 2012 at 9 a.m. and Dec. 31, 2012 at 5 p.m.

Police could not confirm why the December 2012 theft was reported March 28.

Suffolk County Police are also looking for assorted lawn and property maintenance items that the homeowner reported stolen.

According to police, an Old Nichols Road homeowner reported on March 21 that a lawnmower, weed-wacker and stockade fence pieces as missing. The report states that the items could have been taken between March 18 at 3 p.m. and March 20 at 12:30 p.m.
