Police: Man Drives Into Home, Arrested on DWI Charges

No one in the car or home was injured in the Sunday morning crash.

A Smithtown man was arrested on DWI charges Sunday after driving a car into a home.

According to police, Matthew Maier, 22, of Smithtown, drove a 1994 Chevrolet station wagon into the house located at 60 Steven Place in Smithtown at approximately 8:45 a.m.

Police said there were two passengers in the car and people in the home at the time of the accident, but no one was injured.
