Police Seeking 2 Men for Shed Break-In

Police say two men stole about $620 worth of tools from a shed in Islandia.

Suffolk County Police are looking for two men who they said stole multiple items from a home shed in Islandia.

Police said at about 11 p.m. on June 11 two men entered a fenced backyard on Sampson Avenue and stole about $620 worth of tools, including a Stihl rototiller, a Black and Decker battery operated weed whacker and a car buffer. 

Police described one man as a light-skinned black male, with a thin beard about 25-30-years-old, wearing a light-colored hat and a dark sweatshirt with a picture of a knife on the back. The second man was described as having a small build and was wearing a light colored hooded sweatshirt.

Police are asking anyone with information about the crime to call Suffolk County Crime Stoppers at 1-800-TIPS. Police said a cash reward or up to $5,000 is offered for information that leads to an arrest.
