Police Seeking Man Who Escaped Police Custody

Shirley man escapes from the Fourth Precinct Sunday.

Police are on the hunt for a Shirley man who escaped from police custody at the Fourth Precinct in Smithtown Sunday. 

Michael Greco, 25, was at the precinct, located at 727 Veterans Memorial Highway, being processed on non-violent drug charges and resisting arrest when he managed to escape, police said. 

Police did not release any other details on the incident.

Greco is described as a white male, about 5-foot-7, 110 pounds with a thin build.  He has brown hair, brown eyes and dark facial hair.

Police are asking anyone with information on Greco's whereabouts to call Fourth Squad detectives at 631-854-8452 or anonymously to Crime Stoppers at 1-800-220-TIPS. All calls will remain confidential.
