A police investigation is underway in the Friday robbery of TD Bank in Hauppauge.
According to Suffolk County police, the robber — described as a 5-foot-8-inch- to 5-foot-10-inch-tall black man who appeared to be roughly 30 to 40 years old — entered the bank and approached a teller with a note demanding cash at 3:45 p.m. Police said the teller complied and gave him cash. The robber then fled the 425 Route 347 location on foot heading east, police reported.
The robber was wearing a black baseball cap, gloves, and a black bubble-down style jacket, according to police.
