St. James Attorney Arrested for Alleged International Fraud

Federal attorney said attorney billed international companies for advertising he didn't provide.

A St. James attorney was arrested by federal agents for allegedly taking money from international companies for false advertising services. 

Marijan Cvjeticanin, 49,  is charged with one count of mail fraud. He was arrested by U.S. U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement’s Homeland Security Investigations and U.S. Department of State Diplomatic Security Service at his home on Wednesday morning. 

U.S. Attorney Paul J. Fishman says Cvjeticanin defrauded two international companies out of hundreds of thousands of dollars. He allegedly billed both companies for advertising services he never provided. 

Cvjeticanin is scheduled to appear in federal court before U.S. Magistrate Judge Madeline Cox Arleo in Newark, NJ this afternoon.
